William Logan, MD is an Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Palliative and Hospice Medicine Board Certified, practicing physician with more than 25 years of clinical, academic, and management experience.

Dr. Logan received his undergraduate degree with honors in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill followed by his MD from the UNC School of Medicine.  He went on to train in General Surgery and Transplant Immunology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.  After a period of solo private practice in rural western North Carolina, he joined the faculty at Greenville Health System’s Internal Medicine Residency.  He started Geriatric Care Services – a consultative practice assuring continuity of care for older adult patients from Acute Inpatient each level of post-acute care (including Long Term Acute Care Hospital, Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation, and Skilled Nursing Rehabilitation).  In order to continue to expand that program, he enrolled in a Geriatrics Fellowship at Duke University. During the Fellowship, he also obtained a Masters of Health Sciences at Duke University.

He returned as Chair of the Division of Geriatrics for Greenville Health System.  He opened the Center for Success in Aging, a Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment and research center in collaboration with Clemson University and the University of Georgia.  In addition to direct patient care, he performed research in driving in the elderly and functional independence and taught in the Family Medicine and Internal Medicine residencies and the Geriatric Fellowship at the University of South Carolina.  In 2014, he transitioned to Medical Director for Humana.

He moved to Humana’s provider organization, Partners in Primary Care (now Centerwell) and opened 4 fully-delegated clinics in the Upstate of South Carolina – assuming responsibility for over 6000 Medicare Advantage members.  Dr. Logan received his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee’s Haslam School of Business in 2020.  He has been a South Carolina Chief Medical Officer for Centene and for BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina.  Through his work as Chief Medical Officer, he has managed Medicare, Medicaid, Dual Eligible, Special Needs, Institutional, and Exchange plan populations.  His passion is assuring that older adults have the care they need to age successfully.

Dr. Michael Gabriel

Dr. Gabriel is the lead physician for New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island Markets. After completing a combined Palliative Care/ Geriatric fellowship at Yale University, began with Aspire in 2018. Dr. Gabriel is a board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Palliative Care.

Michelle Marge

Michelle Marge, RN, MSN brings over 20 years of healthcare leadership and strategy to our Clinical Field Operations Aspire Team. She has a diverse and impressive background of leading clinical, operational, and technical teams to drive value by bring together clinical operations, strategy, and innovation.

Michelle’s background includes collaborating with payers and managed care providers to redesign a care management program to succeed in some of the first value-based care programs in California with Hill Physician Medical Group. She led a team of multi-disciplinary clinicians in a variety of programs including, complex case management, utilization management, transition of care, palliative care, and behavioral health. Her work at Hill resulted in reduced cost, improved operational efficiencies and member outcomes all while increasing her clinical team’s work satisfaction and provider partner engagement.

Additionally, Michelle led technology teams to strategize and develop new-to-market healthcare technology solutions that help clinicians manage patients at scale for large companies like, Salesforce, Siemens/Cerner and Oracle as well as smaller companies like MedeAnalytics and Clarify Health. Her passion for innovating to improve the workflow and lives of providers and patients is what has driven her to live at the intersection of clinical and technology.

Michelle earned her BSN in Nursing at the University of Delaware and MSN in Healthcare and Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School.

Dr. Simeon Kwan

Dr. Simeon Kwan

Dr. Kwan is a physician for Aspire Health in the greater Houston area. He completed his palliative care fellowship at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Prior to that, Dr. Kwan graduated from the Waco Family Medicine Residency Program with a special focus in international medicine. Dr. Kwan received his medical degree from the University of North Texas.

Dr. David McGrew

Dr. David McGrew

Dr. McGrew is the lead physician for Aspire Health in Florida. He is a founding member and past president of the American Academy of Hospice & Palliative Medicine (AAHPM). Dr. McGrew has been delivering hospice and palliative medical services in the West Central Florida region for 30 years. In one of his prior roles, Dr. McGrew oversaw implementation of a home-based palliative care program that resulted in high patient and family satisfaction as well as a 60% drop in hospitalizations and ER visits for patients living with advanced CHF and COPD. Dr. McGrew earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa.

Samantha Piotrowski

Samantha (Sam) Piotrowski began her career in healthcare as an RN completing her BSN degree in 1998 at Columbia College of Nursing. From there she worked in multiple healthcare specialties including cardiac transitional care, medical oncology, stem cell transplant, and long-term care. She served as Director of Nursing and Senior Director of Nursing for several long-term care organizations across Indiana and Kentucky including Vencor, Inc.; Kindred Healthcare; Life Care Centers of America; and Signature Healthcare.
In 2009 she became a board-certified nurse practitioner when she completed her MSN – Family Practice Care degree at Indiana Wesleyan University. She came to Aspire in 2017, with over 18 years of leadership experience, and served in the Clinical Manager role in multiple markets across Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.
Prior to Aspire, Sam was the Senior Director of Clinical Operations for Diversicare, a long-term care organization, where she served and lead a team of twelve Clinical Directors in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee, and Florida. During this time, she also completed her certification as an Infection Preventionist, and created the company Infection Control and Surveillance Program ahead of the CMS requirements of participation. She also participated in several local and national long-term care quality improvement initiatives.
Other clinical operational roles Sam has served in include The Little Clinic, a walk-in urgent care retail health company as an Area Clinical Manager where she opened five new clinics and help to lead this organization in achieving JACHO accreditation.
Sam is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and has served as a committee member for this organization. She is also a member of the Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives, and the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association. Sam has also worked with the Kentucky MOST Coalition which helps educate patients about their rights regarding the Medical Orders for Scope of Treatment form and how it can help patients receive care that is driven by their goals. Sam is passionate about Palliative Care and the road pioneered by Aspire Healthcare
