Brad Smith (Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer)
Brad was most recently chief-of-staff at the Tennessee Department of Economic Development, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the $220 million, 140-person organization. Brad previously served as executive director of Tennessee SCORE and also spent time at McKinsey & Company. Brad graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University and received an M.Phil from Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.
Dr. Andrew Lasher (Chief Medical Officer)
Dr. Lasher is a board-certified palliative care physician who most recently served as Director of Palliative Medicine at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) in San Francisco. Dr. Lasher also directed CPMC’s internal medicine residency program and served as Medical Director for Sutter Visiting Nurses and Hospice. Dr. Lasher completed his palliative care fellowship at the VA in Palo Alto and his residency at Stanford University.
Diane has over 25 years of strategic planning, operations and technology experience across a diverse range of industries, including over 15 years of healthcare experience. Prior to joining Aspire, Diane led strategic planning for Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she oversaw the launch of its One Hundred Oaks campus. Diane has also served as COO of a wellness company, Senior Vice President for a national medical transcription company, head of back office operations for a large financial institution, consulted for Arthur Andersen and KMPG, and been a key management team member of two start ups. Diane has a B.S. from University of Michigan in Industrial Engineering and a M.B.A from Columbia University.
